"This is the grossest thing I’ve seen since Katie decided leggings are pants"

Y'all, it has been one long week .. well for me it has been a long 2 weeks.  2 weeks without a proper weekend is just plain wrong.  If you're struggling as hard as I am, you'll appreciate some Sassy Suri in your life.  I have three words for you my lovelies,

Touch my coat & and you'll be wearing this skinny vanilla latte.

It is epic. Every post just kills me. It's a blog that's written from Suri Cruise's point of view & in my opinion it is spot on. Typically I do not support children being the focus of any form of media, but this & Toddlers & Tiaras are the exception. Some things are just far too entertaining to ignore.

A few of my favorite Suri Sassys..

"Look, I love Burberry as much as the next Anglophile, but this is a little much. With the moccasins, the sunglasses, and the aggressive use of the Burberry Check, Mason Disick is trying just a little too hard."

"I am looking forward to seeing pictures of Xander Dane Jones, so that the inevitable speculation about his paternity can begin in earnest."

"Yes, I am five. Yes, it’s red lipstick. But do “normal” kindergartners read Vogue and feel the pressure to stay ahead of the trend at Fashion Week?"

Ahhh Delta, Ahhh Zeta ..

Delta Zeta, pink & green, we're the best you've ever seen ..

Today my alum "big girl" status has really hit me. Tonight is the first night of sorority recruitment at Northeastern.  This will be the first time in four years that I will not be spending my week charming & flirting with PNM's. I would just like to take a second and..

Social Success in NYC

This past week I was in the big apple for a crazy busy week full of meetings. I did have a few hours, which seemed like seconds, to catch up with an old friend.

I met up with my little love from Stilettos & Red Wine for a glass of wine at Battery Park and then tapas & sangria at Boqueria in SoHo.  It's always so great to see her, we just fall right back into where we left off.  Ironically it was a Tuesday night, and this Tuesday night just happened to be our first ever Fall Tuesday without a Delta Zeta chapter meeting. It was nice to have one of my sisters by my side for what I expected to be an "ugh I feel old" night.

The next day I happened to be tweeting back and forth with one of my favorite bloggers, Franki Durbin (@frankidurbin) from Life in a Venti Cup, about a pumpkin chai candle she fell in love with from Nest Fragrances (@nest_fragrances).  Over about a day and a half we tweeted about the ways in which we loved said candle. Eventually @Nest_Fragrances caught onto our little virtual chat about their product.  They then sent me a direct message asking what hotel I was staying at so that they could send a messenger over with a sample. I was over the moon and expecting just a small votive candle of whatever fragrance they had left over.  Mostly I was excited about the humanization of Nest Fragrances and the connection they had made with me, little old me! By the end of a long day of meetings I walked into my hotel room having completely forgot about the surprise waiting for me.  Not only did they send a pretty large candle ... it was pumpkin chai! They fragrance I had never smelled yet was publicly expressing my love for. Not only did they give me this absurdly delicious candle but a handwritten note as well (and nothing beats a handwritten note in my opinion) ..

Here is the little gem ..

I thanked them via twitter and have vowed to never buy another brand of candle again.  Nest Fragrances has won my heart.  Pumpkin chai is my new signature fall fragrance, the perfect mix of sweet and spicy .. even the BF loves it ;)

It's Friday, Friday, gotta get down on Friday!

I'm currently in the process of planning a big meeting at work in NYC next week, due to said meeting .. my brain is a bit mush.  Here are just some random ramblings from my mush brain..

1. My lovely friend from Kate from A Little Yoga was kind enough to invite me to Pinterest today (after a public plea on twitter).  I know I'm probably the last person in the blog world to discover the magic, but I am thrilled nonetheless. The wonders of Pinterest are endless ...

A sparkle mani? You know I love it.
If you need an invite please let me know, I would simply love to pass along my latest obsession to y'all.  Who knows, maybe I'm not the last blogger out there to find the magic.

2. Speaking of NYC, it just happens to be Fashion week in New York next week.  Therefore, I must look my best, this weekend will be spent perusing some local shops & my new roomies closet ;)

3. Tomorrow afternoon the BF and I are headed off to Springfield, MA to watch my little giant football player brother start in his first game of the season!  He's such a rock star I can't wait to throw on my maroon and cheer him on! Who doesn't love a day with the most special people, fall weather, and tailgating!

3.  To end this short longest work week ever a few members of my group and I are indulging in yummy cocktails as we finish up our weeks work..

Cheers!

Moving Madness

My apologies for being so MIA my little blogger friends! It has been such a hectic week with the big move to heaven on charter, but I am finally just about settled in & ready to jump back on the blogging train.  Here's what I've been up to this past week (besides hauling furniture up 3 flights of stairs) ..

Lovely housewarming flowers from a very special someone
Red Sox game with the BF
Night out with the bestie
Marching bands casually marching down the street. Love my new home!

St. Anthony's Procession & Feast - pinning dollar bills on religious figures, seems odd?!
