Totes Obsessed with TLC

I've come to the realization that I am completely and utterly obsessed with TLC.  Any time of day I can find something entertaining and addicting. Their list of shows is never ending and weekly I find myself jumping on yet another TLC bandwagon show.  How can you not with shows like ...

DC Cupcakes
Fabulous Cakes
Cake Boss
Kate Plus 8
Say Yes to the Dress
Say Yes to the Dress: Atlanta
Say Yes to the Dress: Bridesmaids
Four Weddings
Sister Wives
Toddlers & Tiaras

Looking at these shows and a majority of TLC's programming, there are a few very repetitive themes, weddings & babies, which happen to me two of my very favorite things.  Don't get me wrong, I am not one of those girls that has their wedding totally planned and all of their kids names picked out.  I do though happen to have a binder of ideas for my future wedding, home, etc. Yes, I got this precious little preppy binder while I was at Target one day and that is what has become of it.  Basically a "someday" book. Call me creepy, overly organized, obsessed, whatever .. but y'all will be jealous when I'm living in my perfectly decorated Southern Living/Coastal Living inspired home.

Okay, back to TLC, the shining stars of TLC in my opinion are Say Yes to the Dress & Toddlers and Tiaras.  Every single girl I talk too simply adores Say Yes to the Dress, and has their ideal consultant picked out.  Here are mine ..

Diane - She is so warm and motherly I can only
imagine that she would give you all of the confidence in the world
to rock whatever dress you wished.

Lori - Being the owner of the Atlanta shop she typically doesn't
do single appointments as she is overseeing all of her consultants,
but this woman has sass! She'll put anyone in their place if they are
putting a damper on your day.  Such a firecracker!

Also, another thing to consider is who are you going to bring with you? After watching every single episode you learn the types of people you DO NOT want with you on that day.  Since the start of the show my list has narrowed from 10 to 3 or 4 special people that are supportive of me no matter what.  I refuse to be one of those girls that is crying in a wedding dress because her friends are rude and lack any sense of fashion. Not cute.

Now, moving on to the tiny tots...

Honestly, these tiny children have better hair and makeup than I do!  I'm sure they could teach me a thing or two about lip liner and teased hair.  But let me just clarify how I feel about children's beauty pageants. I think there are a lot of different kinds and for ratings purposes Toddlers and Tiaras shows the most extreme glitz pageants.

Let's face it, it is entertaining.  Between the psycho moms living vicariously through their children and the little girls that look like Skipper Barbie dolls, it's addicting despite your feelings on it.  Also, do the girls look cute or completley creepy? I can't figure it out.  Though I am not a mom, and will never enter any child of mine in a glitz pageant, the concept of pageant moms are not so foreign to me ... have you met a cheer mom !?

I have to agree... I love the TLC line up. There is always something to watch and if I've seen the episode that's on my next go to station is HGTV.
